🇬🇧 Recovering an Araknis Router from Failsafe Mode

If it seems to be taking a long time for an Araknis router to update its firmware, check the activities tab of OvrC to see if there’s a failed update notice.
The router isn’t starting up properly and is handing out 192.168.99.X IP addresses with a gateway address of 192.168.99.9.

If you see either of these, follow the steps below:

Open your web browser and navigate to 192.168.99.9. A recovery mode page will appear.
Download the following firmware for the router:

Upload the firmware file. The router scans for compatibility, which may take a few minutes, then it shows an update progress bar.
After the firmware update completes, restart the router.
Confirm the router is functioning normally, then update the firmware to the latest version using OvrC or by downloading the latest firmware from the product page.

Pro Tip: Factory default the router after it’s been updated to the latest firmware to eliminate possible misconfigurations.
